Q - What is the SFL500?

A - The SFL500 is the name of our fantasy Racing League that is based on the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. Q - What is the SFL FOOTBALL CHALLENGE League?

A - This is the name of our Team based fantasy football league based on the National Football League regular season games. Q - What does it cost to play in the league?

A - Registration to play in either the SFL500 or Football Challenge league is $50.00. This includes your integrated team operations pages and team set up. Once you set up your team you can leave it like that all season with no other charges. However, to be competitive you may elect to make trades each week or periodically to increase your team's performance. Each trade you make costs $2.00 each. There are no other league fees.

Q - How much can I win in the league?

A - How much you can win of coarse depends on how well you get your team to perform. The SFL pays Cash Prizes for both weekly results and season ending. We also give out cash prize awards based on several season ending statistics and Mini-Championship bonus programs. The top 5 finishers win beautiful trophies in addition to their season ending cash prizes and trophies are also awarded up to 6 MVP Award winners each year. The SFL500 league also gives cash prizes and trophies for the Rookie of the Year Award and the Kyle Petty Performance Award. Q - What do I get for bring new team owners into the league?

A - For each new team owner you bring into the league you will receive $25.00 credit to your team account. And for each five new team owners you bring into the league you get an additional $25.00 credit. This credit is posted to your account after we receive the registration fee of the new team owner you brought into the league. Please tell the new team owner to write "referred by YOUR NAME" in the comments section of the online registration form.

Q - How do I register to play in the SFL500 league?

A - To register to plat in the SFL500 Racing league go to the SFL500 Registration page at http://www.sportsfantasyleagues.com/nascar/nascar_register.html and fill out the form. You can then pay the registration fee by credit card or send us a check. Your team will be activated as soon as we receive your payment. You must re-register to play each year but if you have played before just click where it says "Played Before" on the registration page and the form will automatically be filled out with the current information we have on file for you. You can then change your address, phone number, email address, and team name(s) if you desire.

Registration for the SFL500 is open from the end of January to the start of the Daytona 500.

Q - How do I register to play in the Football Challenge league?

A - To register to play in the Football Challenge league go to the Football Challenge Registration page at http://www.sportsfantasyleagues.com/nfl/nfl_register.html and fill out the form. You can then pay the registration fee by credit card or send us a check. Your team will be activated as soon as we receive your payment. You must re-register to play each year but if you have played before just click where it says "Played Before" on the registration page and the form will automatically be filled out with the current information we have on file for you. You can then change your address, phone number, email address, and team name(s) if you desire.

Registration for the Football Challenge league is open from mid August until the Sunday for Week 1 of the new NFL season.

Q - When are the SFL500 results posted?

A - In most cases the results are posted within 15 minutes after the race is finished. This first update is Unofficial because SFL results are based on NASCAR race results and NASCAR usually doesn't make their race results official until the following day. The SFL will declare the results official after we are satisfied that NASCAR has published the official results. Once the SFL declares a race official not changes can be made.

Q - How are Trade fees calculated?

A - Trade fees are calculated after each race update is performed. The SFL looks at which drivers are currently on your team for the race that just completed and compares that to the drivers that were on your team for the previous race. The difference found is what the SFL considers to be the number of Driver changes made for that week.

This means you can move a driver on and off your team all day long but you are only charged if you start the next race with a different driver.

Example: You have Dale Earnhardt Jr. on your team in position 1 of Group 2 and a race has just been completed. On Tuesday you replace Dale with Mark Martin. Then on Wednesday you replace Mark Martin with Dale putting Dale back on your team. Then, on Thursday you replace Dale with Jeff Gordon. Then on Friday you replace Jeff Gordon with Dale putting Dale back on your team again. Because the final result of all these changes is that no driver has changed on your team, you will not be charged for a trade.

Q - Will I be charged if I swap drivers in the same group?

A - This is an example where you take a driver on position 1 of Group 1 and move him to position 2 of group 1. There is no technical advantage in doing this as the same driver is still on your team. This move does not reflect a driver change and therefore there is no charge.

Q - How do I log in to my personal team operations pages?

A - Your log in User ID is the same as your team name and your password is what you selected at the time you registered.

Q - How do I log in to the SFL Forum message board?

A - The SFL message forum uses a different password than your team operations pages. The password for the message board is shown on the Announcements page which is the first page you go to when you log in to your team from the Operations icon.

Q - How long has Sports Fantasy Leagues (SFL) been in business?

A - The SFL has been in business since 1998.

Q - How do I change my Email address?

A - Just log in to your team operations page and look for the little envelope on the left side of the page that says "Change Email". Just click on that envelope to change your email address.

Q - How do I change my Password?

A - Just log in to your team operations page and look for the rotating key on the left side of the page that says "Change Password". Just click on that key to change your Password.

Q - How soon will the SFL send me my Cash Prize winnings?

A - Normally cash prize winnings are distributed at the end of the year. Our team owners prefer this so that they can just leave the money in their account to cover future trades. However, if you have accumulated a large amount of winnings during the season you can send an email to the SFL and request a distribution of your winnings.
